PETALING JAYA: Three men and a woman have been detained for robbing an Indonesian shop helper in Damansara Damai here.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said the incident occurred at the shop at about 10pm on Dec 30.
"Three men held the victim at knifepoint and escaped with RM19,000 and a mobile phone," he said in a statement.
Acting on intelligence obtained, police detained three men and a woman aged between 19 and 30 in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor on Sunday (Jan 2), he added.
"We seized several items including a car, a knife, five mobile phones and RM7,000 cash.
"The woman was the mastermind. She previously worked at the shop for three months in 2019," he said.
The suspects have been remanded for seven days for further investigation, ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin said.
