KUALA LUMPUR: The Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers or FMM hopes the government will reconsider its appeal for a moratorium on the imbalance cost pass through surcharge for the second half of 2022 until the first half of next year.

       President Tan Sri Soh Thian Lai said the request took into consideration the six-month lag in fuel-price impact on the electricity tariff, in particular coal and natural gas, which have not moderated to pre-Covid-19 levels due to major disruptions to the regional and global fuel markets. — Bernama
