JOHOR BARU: The bodies of two fishermen who fell from the Mados jetty into Sungai Redan near Kampung Air Putih here have been found.

       Seri Alam OCPD Supt Mohd Sohaimi Ishak said the first body was found at about 7am yesterday, about 5km from where they went missing.

       He added that the second body was found one hour later, some 200m away from where the first body was recovered.

       “An eyewitness, who works on a dredger near the jetty, said he heard a loud bang from below and found that there was a small boat near the vessel at 10.30pm on Monday night.

       “However, investigations found that there was no collision between the boat and the vessel, and the boat was still floating,” he said here yesterday.

       Supt Mohd Sohaimi said the two victims were identified as Ramdan Sulaima, 50, and Amiruddin Abdul Malik, 53. Both bodies have been sent to the Sultan Ismail Hospital for a post-mortem.
