PASIR GUDANG: A 25-year-old man was killed after his motorcycle rammed into a car that was making a turn at a junction here.

       Seri Alam OCPD Supt Mohd Sohaimi Ishak said that the incident took place at about 4pm Monday (Dec 6) at the Jalan Masai Kongkong-Jalan Taman Desa Rakyat junction here.

       "The motorcyclist was heading towards Jalan Masai Kongkong from Jalan Kota Masai.

       "The car that he collided with was coming from Taman Desa Rakyat and was heading towards Jalan Kota Masai.

       "The two vehicles collided when the car made a turn at the junction and the motorcycle was unable to avoid hitting the car," he said in a statement.

       He said that the motorcyclist suffered from serious injuries to his head and died at the scene.

       "His body has been brought to Hospital Sultan Ismail for a post-mortem," he said, adding that the driver did not suffer any injuries.

       The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

       "The police would like to remind the public to always follow rules and regulations when using the roads, especially during peak hours," said Supt Mohd Sohaimi.
