KUALA LUMPUR: Sapura Energy Bhd has appointed Datuk Mohammad Azlan Abdullah as chairman, effective May 7, 2022, succeeding Tan Sri Shamsul Azhar Abbas.

       Mohammad Azlan, 54, was first appointed to the Sapura Energy Board on Oct 1, 2019 as a non-independent non-executive director.

       He has held the role of group chief executive officer of Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd Group since March 1, 2017. Prior to that, he was the CEO of The New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd.
