A man has died while he was trying to rescue children at a waterfall in Brecon Beacons National Park.
The incident happened in the Bannau Brycheiniog on September 1 at around 4.40pm.
Emergency services rushed to the scene following reports that a man had gone into the water at Sgwd Y Pannwr waterfall, Ystradfellte, in an attempt to rescue two children - who were later pulled from the river.
The man has since been named by Dyfed-Powys Police as 27-year-old pilot Mohananeethan Muruganantharaja, Wales Online reports.
A rescue operation including multi-agency such as air ambulance, fire service and mountain rescue - were involved to find him.

The force said that his body was located in the water shortly after 7pm with the help of an underwater camera.
However it was not able to be recovered that evening, due to conditions at the site, and divers were called in the following morning.
Mohananeethan's family is currently being supported by specialist officers.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “We were called to Sgwd Y Pannwr waterfall, Ystradfellte, at approximately 4.40pm on Friday (1 September) to a report of a man having gone into the water to rescue two children and not come out.
"A multi-agency response was commenced with representation from the police, fire service, mountain rescue, HART and both the UK Air Rescue Team and the Wales Air Ambulance landing their aircrafts nearby.
“At shortly after 7pm the fire service located the body of 27-year-old Mohananeethan Muruganantharaja in the water with an underwater camera.
