KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Takaful Association (MTA) has appointed Mohd Radzuan Mohamed as its CEO effective Jan 1, 2022.
In a statement, MTA said Radzuan has more than 20 years' experience in the industry with a wide range of expertise including in takaful and retakaful, insurance and reinsurance, broking, consulting and adjusting.
Prior to joining MTA, he held several senior management positions in various insurance and takaful companies.
He is currently a member of Lembaga Zakat Selangor (MAIS) Board Risk, Integrity and Compliance Committee and was a recipient of the Risk Icon Award for outstanding contribution in the field of Enterprise Risk Management.
Radzuan is a Certified Professional in Islamic Finance (CPIF), an Associate of the Institute Risk Management (AIRM, UK), Enterprise Risk Professional Certification (IERP), and is an alumnus of the Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) in Scotland.
“Radzuan brings to the MTA strong leadership, management, operational and entrepreneurial skills coupled with local and international experience.
"He is well-positioned to drive the organisation in spearheading the transformation of the Takaful industry, especially in its aspiration to achieve the new Takaful landscape as outlined in the Value-Based Intermediation for Takaful (VBIT) Framework launched in June 2021,” said MTA chairman Elmie Aman Najas.
