       Nigel Farage took a brutal swipe at Boris Johnson in a major speech today. The Reform UK leader insisted that it is "over" for the Tories as he gave a press conference in London.

       He added that it is "completely irrelevant" if Mr Johnson decides to make a comeback amid ongoing speculation that the charismatic former PM could return to frontline politics. The Clacton MP said: "As for the Conservatives, I don’t think many in the media class yet really understand the extent to which they are dying as a political party.

       "They will not be trusted again. They have no chance of winning the next general election, none whatsoever. And I don’t really wish to spend much more time talking about them.

       Mr Johnson, who led the Tories to a landslide victory in the 2019 general election, has been at the centre of comeback speculation since he was forced out in 2022.

       It comes as the ex-premier welcomed his fourth baby with wife Carrie earlier this month.
