PETALING JAYA: PETALING JAYA: A total of 20,053,472 people (or 85.7% of Malaysia's adult population) have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 vaccine as of Wednesday (Sept 29), says the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV).
In a series of tweets Thursday (Sept 30), JKJAV also said that 94.1% of the adult population (or 22,017,043 individuals) had received at least one dose of a two-dose Covid-19 vaccine.
It added that a total of 338,661 Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered throughout Malaysia on Wednesday.
Of this total, 190,559 people received their first dose of a two-dose Covid-19 vaccine, while 140,062 people completed their vaccinations.
Selangor administered the most first doses with 23,515 jabs, followed by Johor (22,599), Sarawak (19,706), Kedah (19,525) and Pahang (15,980).
Johor led the way in completed vaccinations with 26,576 getting their second dose of a two-dose Covid-19 vaccine or a jab with a single dose vaccine. This was followed by Perak (17,725), Kedah (17,061), Penang (13,342) and Pahang (12,669).
