NRP: Educational institutions in Johor to continue following Phase Two rules for two weeks from date of transition

       PETALING JAYA: Educational institutions in Johor will maintain their reopening date as Oct 10 and continue operating in accordance to Phase Two of the National Recovery Phase (NRP), the Education Ministry says.

       The state moved into Phase Three starting Friday (Oct 8).

       All educational institutions under the ministry, it said, would operate based on the new phase two weeks from the date of transition.

       As such, educational institutions in Johor would operate based on Phase Three rules starting Oct 24, the ministry said in a statement on Friday (Oct 8).

       "This involves attendance of preschool pupils, students taking public exams in full boarding schools, national schools and private schools, pre-university Malaysia Sports School and other international exam classes.

       "Educational institutions in Pahang, on the other hand, will continue their operations based on Phase Three rules.

       "It will follow Phase Four rules starting Oct 25," the ministry added.

       This will involve special needs education students, preschool pupils, pupils in Years One, Two and Three, Form Six students, students taking public exams, pre-university Malaysia Sports School, Forms Three and Four students in full boarding schools, national schools and private schools, and students taking international exams (IGCSE O-Level, A-Level and IBD) as well as other international exams, the ministry said.
