PETALING JAYA: Schools in Johor and Terengganu will resume classes gradually from Nov 7, says the Education Ministry (MOE).
Public schools in those states will reopen on Nov 8.
This is because Nov 7 is an additional holiday in view of the Deepavali celebration.
“Private educational institutions registered under the MOE will operate according to their respective calendars,” the ministry said.
The reopening of schools will involve admission for Level One (Years One, Two and Three) of primary school pupils as well as Form Three and Form Four students.
“Lessons for Level Two (Years Four, Five and Six) of primary school pupils, including transition classes, Forms One and Two of secondary schools, will begin on Nov 14 in accordance with the National Recovery Plan (NRP) regulations.
Johor and Terengganu will move to Phase Four of the NRP today.
