JOHOR BARU: The B40 and M40 groups in the state should be provided with all the help they need as the country moves into the Covid-19 endemic phase, says Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.
The Johor Mentri Besar said that the state government plans to introduce a social safety net for Johoreans to help them cope with the current challenges in life.
“The poor and the needy should be helped regardless of their race and religion and as a responsible government, it is my hope, together with the aim of the state executive councillors, to provide a social safety net for Bangsa Johor.
“Besides the B40 group, the M40 should also be given attention, and God willing, there will be something for all Johoreans soon,” he said in a Facebook post.
He also thanked the Johor Islamic Religious Council (MAIJ) for meeting him and that he is planning to discuss with the state Welfare Department and the Social Security Organisation (Socso) over the matter.
