SHAH ALAM: The party elections mark a new era for DAP, says its newly elected secretary-general Anthony Loke.
In his maiden speech Sunday (March 20), Loke said this was a new phase, which would lead the party to greater heights.
“I have also informed my fellow CEC members earlier, that my leadership will bring about an inclusive approach whereby all party leaders and members will have a role to play.
“Similarly, future CEC meetings will also see new appointments through the forming of committees so that leaders without any portfolios would still have a specific role to play,” he said.
Loke, who received 1,625 votes during the party’s polls, will take over from Bagan MP Lim Guan Eng who will now assume the post of the national chairman.
