PORT DICKSON: An Indian national was allegedly stabbed to death by his Pakistani colleague while drinking at a house in Happy Garden near here early on Monday (Jan 3).
"The duo, who were general workers at an oil refinery here, got into an argument while drinking in a room in a double-storey house and the 26-year-old suspect stabbed his 22-year-old friend with a knife," said Port Dickson OCPD Supt Aidi Sham Mohamed.
He added that the fight happened after midnight.
"When my men arrived, they found the victim dead in the kitchen on the ground floor of the house," he said in a statement.
Supt Aidi Sham said the victim only started working at the refinery about a year ago.
Police also seized the suspect's clothes, mobile phone and a 30cm knife believed to be the murder weapon.
He said police have also obtained a remand order from the Magistrate's Court to detain the suspect until Jan 9.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
