Police said a man was hurt Thursday and later died in what they are calling a homicide in the Brandywine area.

       The incident happened in the 8800 block of Grayden Lane near Crain Highway, according to Prince George’s County police. Officials said the man was taken to a hospital, where he died the next day.

       Detectives are trying to determine a motive and a suspect or suspects, officials said. Police did not immediately say how the man was killed.

       The number of homicides is up this year in the county.
