PETALING JAYA: Police have recovered the wreckage of a car believed to have been involved in the fatal shooting of a businessman near a golf course at Bukit Rahman Putra, Sungai Buloh.
Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed, in an online press conference on Tuesday (Aug 17), said that police found the burnt wreckage of a Toyota Hilux, around 1.5km from the scene of the shooting.
"Our investigations showed that the vehicle had been reported stolen in Klang in 2019. Checks on the victim also showed that he had six prior criminal offences.
"Investigations showed that the victim had been shot four times, to his body," he said.
Comm Arjunaidi said that no arrests have been made so far, with investigations still ongoing.
On Monday (Aug 16), a businessman died after being shot multiple times by unknown assailants near his home in Sungai Buloh.
The victim was rushed to Sungai Buloh Hospital for treatment, but died from his injuries.
