KUALA LUMPUR: Police here have issued RM165,000 worth of compound notices for standard operating procedure violations in a raid on an entertainment outlet here on Monday (Dec 6) night, says
City Crime Prevention and Community Safety department chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Azman Ayob.
"A team of 18 personnel raided the outlet and issued compounds to 28 individuals, as well as the premises owner; the owner was issued a RM25,000 compound, while the patrons were issued compounds amounting to RM140,000," he said in a statement on Tuesday (Dec 7).
He said they allegedly committed illegal activities at pubs and clubs under Rule 17 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Regulations.
"We will continue conducting these raids to control the spread of Covid-19," he said.
