MELAKA: Seventeen individuals including two women were slapped with compound notices amounting to RM51,000 for organising a drug and alcohol party at a condominium overlooking Sungai Melaka here.
Melaka CID chief Asst Comm Mohd Sukri Kaman said his team raided the site after receiving a tip-off at 11pm on Friday (Sept 10).
He said those detained were aged between 17 and 35.
"They had rented two units of the condominium at the price of RM450 to organise the party," he said on Saturday (Sept 11).
He said one of the individuals also tested positive for drugs during a screening process.
ACP Mohd Sukri said the individuals were issued with RM3,000 compound notices each under the Disease Prevention Measure and Control Act 2021.
"Investigation is also being carried out under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952," he added.
