Three lanes were closed due to a collision on the motorway, just a day after two separate incidents were reported on the M4 on Wednesday. Lanes on junction 4B to junction four towards Heathrow Airport have been closed due to a collision. Traffic officers and emergency services are now on the scene.

       National Highways East said: "The M4 eastbound J4B (M25) to J4 (Uxbridge, Heathrow Airport A408 A4), 3 lanes have been closed due to a collision.

       "Traffic Officers, London Fire, London Ambulance & Recovery are currently at the scene."

       There have been no reports of injuries at this point.

       Congestion is also expected on junction five heading westbound between Slough and Heathrow Airport.

       As of 11.19am, National Highways said all lanes are now closed.

       Two other incidents were reported on the M4 on Wednesday morning.

       According to traffic services, a collision was reported heading westbound on the motorway between junction 34, Miskin, and junction 35, Pencoed in Wales.

       Traffic Wales said: "M4 Westbound between J34 Miskin and J35 Pencoed.

       "Officers en route, more updates to follow.

       "Avoid the area if possible."

       Another incident was also reported eastbound between junction 45 Ynysforgan and junction 44 Lon Las.

       The traffic collision heading westbound occurred at 6.50am.

       Police confirmed a car and a light goods vehicle were involved in the incident.

       Emergency services revealed there were no serious injuries from the crash.

       A traffic collision was also reported on the M1 motorway on Wednesday.

       Leicestershire Police confirmed a lorry and two cars were involved.

       In a post at 9.07am, National Highways tweeted: “The M1 southbound J21A (A46) to J21 (M69 Coventry, A5460 Leicester) two lanes have been closed due to a collision.

       "Traffic Officers are currently at scene."

       Leicestershire Police has confirmed no injuries were suffered.

       Emergency crews have now also left the scene.
