Richard Tice slammed a "bonkers" ruling after a jailed Congolese drug dealer was allowed to stay in Britain because his son has a rare blood disease. The convicted criminal won his legal fight to remain in the UK as his son has haemophilia.
An immigration tribunal ruled that the Home Office's attempts to deport him would be "unduly harsh" on his son, The Telegraph reported. In a post on X, the Reform deputy leader said: "Another bonkers immigration tribunal ruling. Protecting a jailed foreign drug dealer. We must deport all jailed foreign criminals."

The Congolese man in his 30s, who has been granted anonymity, entered Britain in 1999 aged seven and was granted leave to remain.
In 2011, he received seven convictions for 16 offences and faced a deportation order.
But in 2016 an immigration tribunal said it would be unfair on his young son due to his haemophilia.

The Home Office renewed its bid to deport him in 2023 after he was convicted of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply and sentenced to three years and two months in jail.
He successfully appealed the deportation order at a tribunal hearing last year, but the Home Office appealed that decision at the upper tribunal.
However, at the latest hearing the upper tribunal found there had not been any mistakes in law with last year’s ruling and dismissed the Home Office's appeal.
