Support from fellow Tory MPs was what mattered in the first four rounds of the Conservative leadership race, with all six candidates having tried to win over their colleagues.
Kemi Badenoch, James Cleverly, Robert Jenrick, Dame Priti Patel, Tom Tugendhat and Mel Stride threw their hats into the ring and had MPs declare their support over the course of their campaigns.

The final two hopefuls, Mrs Badenoch and Mr Jenrick, will now be put to the Tory membership, but to get there they had to impress the parliamentary party and undergo a series of four votes by MPs.
There are 121 Tory MPs in Parliament who have been wooed by the candidates over the past weeks as they try to get the largest number to back them.
Dame Priti was the first candidate to be eliminated from the race, receiving just 14 votes. Mr Stride was eliminated on Sept 10, receiving just 16 votes, 17 behind then-frontrunner Mr Jenrick.
On Oct 8, Mr Tugendhat joined Dame Priti and Mr Stride after receiving just 20 votes, and the day after they were joined by Mr Cleverly after the former home secretary received just 37 votes.
Mr Jenrick was the frontrunner in the first two votes, but came second to James Cleverly in the third round.
Mr Cleverly had surged among Tory MPs in the third round of voting but struggled to rally supporters in the crunch vote determining the final two candidates who would be put to the members.
In that round, Mrs Badenoch secured 42 supporters, Mr Jenrick received 41 votes and Mr Cleverly came third with 37.
MP support is not a guarantee of success. Rishi Sunak beat Liz Truss at every round of voting by MPs in the summer 2022 leadership election, but she was more popular among members.
