DERA MURAD JAMALI: The train service between Quetta and other parts of the country has been suspended after a bogey of the Quetta-bound Jaffar Express derailed in the Notal area of Nasirabad district on Tuesday.

Police officials said when the train, en route to Quetta via Sibi, reached Notal, a bogey derailed, disrupting the track connecting Quetta to Sindh, Punjab and KP. However, the driver managed to stop the train by applying emergency brakes. No casualties were reported.

Railway officials said work to repair the damaged track had been started. The train service will be restored by Wednesday morning. Police have ruled out any sabotage or subversive activity.
