Adrian said: “I came up with this hack because I was thinking with all the uncertainty in the world right now what will happen if the gas gets cut off – or become so expensive we couldn’t afford it.
"So I thought of an alternative and it worked well".
It took Adrian around 10 minutes to heat up the oil, with another three minutes needed to get the egg fried properly.
Adrian's followers were impressed by the cooking hack.

One person joked: “We may have to resort to this action if [energy] prices keep going up."
While another went as far as to praise the trick as “genius” and “really clever”.
But others were not so convinced - with many noting the time it would take to get food cooked.
One person said: "Would take an hour to cook that one egg."
While another user added: "Pasta would take you like five or six years."
A few people were concerned the food wouldn't taste very good if it was cooked this way.
They also highlighted possible fire risks if candles weren't blown out after cooking.
