KUALA LUMPUR: Digital payments provider Boost is running an eDonation campaign to provide assistance to those affected by the recent floods.

In a statement, it said Boost users can eDonate directly to local humanitarian organisations such as Mercy Malaysia (Mercy), Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA) and My Fund Action via the "Donate" button on the homepage, or click https://myboost.app.link/nMPtp0zQvV to access the “Donate” section.

Users also have the option to donate by converting their Boost Stars through the BoostUp catalogue, with 1,600 Boost Stars translating to RM2, while 4,000 Boost Stars will translate to RM5 in contributions.

“The funds contributed to MERCY, MRA and My Fund Action will be used to alleviate the hardships of over 30,000 individuals who have been displaced and all others affected by the central Malaysia floods.

"No amount is too small to give as we believe little gestures make a big difference,” said Boost CEO Sheyantha Abeykoon.

Boost is also collaborating with Watsons to provide further assistance to flood victims by providing 200 boxes of essential items such as toiletries and face masks that will be distributed through MRA, which will carry out field work in handing out essentials to flood victims from Sungai Lui in Hulu Langat.
