PETALING JAYA: A forensic audit by an independent body should be conducted on the outcome of the party polls, says Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak.

       The former aide to PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim expressed doubt over the transparency and the outcome of the unofficial results of the party polls, especially in the hotly contested Gombak division.

       "My team has strong evidence and documentation to back our formal objections, and calls for the party to conduct a forensic audit on the result system and its implementation methods," said Farhash in a Facebook post Sunday (May 29).

       Based on unofficial results, Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amiruddin defeated Farhash for the Gombak division chief's post.

       Farhash added his main objection was on the results of the physical and online voting.

       He said he found it to be unreasonable if it was compared with the physical presence of his supporters as well as the online voting that his team had recorded.

       "I hope the election committee and the top party leadership take appropriate action and rectify the situation if it is proven that the voting system and results have been compromised," he added.
