A person suffered injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening after being struck by a Metro train Friday at the Benning Road station in Northeast Washington, officials said.
The incident, which occurred about 8:05 a.m., caused delays for riders on the rail system’s Blue and Silver lines for about two hours as trains shared a track through the station. The transit agency said the incident involved a medical emergency and the person was taken to a hospital.
