On December 13, at 12:00, the Valdai Discussion Club will host an expert discussion on the results of Normandy summit with the participation of Andrei Rudenko, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

On December 9, after a three-year pause, another Normandy Four summit took place in Paris. Since the previous meeting, the Quartet has undergone changes – new leaders were elected in France and Ukraine. A long and difficult negotiation process preceded the summit. The main goal of the summit is to work out a new sequence of implementation of the Minsk agreements.

An important aspect of the summit is that it was the first face-to-face meeting between the presidents of Russia and Ukraine, which both parties evaluated in a positive way. The next meeting in the Normandy Four format should take place in four months.

What is the main outcome of the Normandy summit in Paris? Can we talk about progress in resolving the situation in Donbass? What are the prospects for the implementation of the Minsk agreements? Participants in the expert discussion will answer these and other questions.

       Speaker:

Andrey Rudenko, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Andrey Sushentsov, programme director of the Valdai Discussion Club.
