Three men and a teenage boy were wounded in city shootings Saturday afternoon on the South and West sides, Chicago police said.
The most recent shooting took place just before 6 p.m. in the 2600 block of West 23rd Place in Little Village, according to Chicago police. A 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man were outside when someone from inside a vehicle fired shots at them.
Both teenagers were shot multiple times and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.
Another shooting occurred about 1:35 p.m. a few blocks south of Chicago Police Department headquarters in the 3800 block of South Michigan Avenue. Police said a 40-year-old man was inside a residence when he heard shots and felt pain in his thigh.
He was in fair condition and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center.
About 30 minutes earlier, a 31-year-old man was shot while he was inside a vehicle in the 1500 block of East 95th Street in the Calumet Heights neighborhood, police said.
The victim was approached by a vehicle, and someone inside opened fire, hitting him in the abdomen. He was taken in serious condition to the University of Chicago Medical Center.
No one was in custody for either attack as of Saturday afternoon, and detectives were investigating.
