PETALING JAYA: Higher revenue resulted in Berjaya Corp Bhd (BCorp) narrowing its net loss to RM242.57mil for the fourth quarter ended June 30, 2021 (Q4 of FY21) from RM323.76mil a year earlier.
The conglomerate’s revenue doubled to RM1.75bil in the quarter from RM859.02mil in Q4 of FY20, thanks to its gaming operations under Sports Toto Malaysia Sdn Bhd and its motor distribution business operated by H.R. Owen Plc.
Year-to-date, BCorp’s revenue rose to RM7.46bil from RM6.99bil in FY20. However, its net loss widened to RM438.80mil in FY21 from RM95.23mil in FY20.
Shares in BCorp closed unchanged at 26 sen apiece yesterday.
