Over the last week, there have been concerns for the 95-year-old monarch's health, after it was announced that she spent a night in hopistal. The stay was said to be for preliminary medical checks, and the Queen soon returned back to Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace has said. The palace added that she was in "good spirits." The news came after Her Majesty had cancelled an official visit to Northern Ireland last Wednesday, following doctor's orders to rest.

It is the first time the Queen has stayed in hospital since 2013, when she suffered symptoms of gastroenteritis.

The King Edward VII's is a private hospital used by senior royals including the Queen's husband, the late Duke of Edinburgh, who received treatment there earlier this year.

Russell Myers, the Royal Editor of the Daily Mirror spoke about the Queen's health on Lorraine.

"We need more of that where you see other members of the Royal Family alongside her potentially."

Mr Myers said "I've been talking for a while about how I think we're going to see a lot more collaboration between members of the Royal Family."

"We've seen a little bit of it recently, she was at the opening of the Welsh Parliament with Charles and Camilla."

He added: "I think they want to make up for lost time."

"The family want to make sure that she's looked after essentially."

"She's not going anywhere anytime soon, she's definitely not going to step down."

"I think we just need to look after her health and the family feel quite strongly about that."

The Queen has had a very busy scheduele of engagements in the past few weeks.

Since returning to Windsor after her annual Summer break at Balmoral, the Queen has attended royal visits to Scotland, Wales and England.

She is expected to attend the COP26 in Glasgow next week, alongside son Prince Charles and grandson Prince William, as they jointly encourage world leaders to take action on the global climate emergency.

Also attending will be Camilla, The Duchess of Cornwall and Kate, The Duchess of Cambridge.

The summit will be attended by world leaders, including Joe Biden and Boris Johnson.
