MELAKA: All 28 Perikatan Nasional candidates have signed anti-corruption pledges as part of the coalition’s commitment to reject corrupt practices ahead of the state polls.
The pledge was also aimed at providing a transparent and corruption-free government in Melaka.
The event was witnessed by Perikatan chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at Perikatan's Taman Seri Tanjung Minyak main operation centre on Friday (Nov 12).
Melaka Perikatan chairman Datuk Rafiq Naizamohideen led the reading of the pledge and later handed over the signed anti-corruption pledges to Muhyiddin.
Muhyiddin had said the initiative was part of the coalition's commitment to fight corruption.
Early voting for the Melaka state polls is on Nov 16 and polling is set for Nov 20 to elect representatives to the 28 seats in the Melaka Legislative Assembly.
