The Nigerian crook, who was in the UK illegally, even conned a terminally ill woman.

Aigbonohan struck up a ten-month relationship with one victim.

He persuaded her to lend him money for “business machinery” and she gave him nearly £10,000.

He took money from at least eight others and was in contact with more than 670 people in total.

Aigbonohan, of Abbey Wood, South East London, admitted fraud and money laundering at Southwark crown court.

He will be sentenced on January 14.
