GEORGE TOWN: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has arrested three directors of a company for allegedly submitting false claims involving RM65,000.

The directors, aged between 29 and 37 years, were detained on Tuesday (July 6) to assist in an investigation into allegations of submitting false claims for the supply of orthopaedic implants to agencies such as Socso, among others.

MACC said in a statement on Wednesday (July 7) that George Town Magistrate's Court senior assistant registrar Balqis Roslin has allowed an application for four days' remand of the three until July 10.

All three suspects will be detained at the Penang MACC lockup for the duration, it added.
