POLICE are looking for the person who kicked a homeless man in front of the Lot 10 shopping mall in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, reported Sinar Harian.

A 30-second video of the assault went viral after it was uploaded to Facebook.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Noor Dellhan Yahaya said investigations have started and asked anyone with information to step up.

“The Criminal Investigation Department started searching for the suspect when the video came to light,” he said.

The Kuala Lumpur Welfare Department is also looking for the homeless man to offer him help.

       > A fireman in Miri, Sarawak, who gave a cat mouth-to-mouth resuscitation after rescuing it from a burning building, drew public praise, reported Kosmo! Online.

The 30-minute video shared by the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department showed Mohamad Ainli Akhbar trying to save the cat, but despite his best efforts, the cat did not survive.

Many people praised him for his virtuousness.

       > Popular actress and entrepreneur Neelofa and her husband Muhammad Haris Mohd Ismail say they want to raise their child “in moderation”, reported Berita Harian.

The couple, who recently announced that they were expecting their first baby, don’t want their child to be exposed to fame.

“Sometimes, fame has its good and bad side. So we want to live a private life.

“In Islam, this is known as wasatiyah (moderation). Even though the whole of Malaysia knows us, we want this child to grow up the Islamic way,” said Muhammad Haris, a preacher better known as PU Riz.
