Mr Johnson said: “It’s heartbreaking as many as 90 per cent of those in intensive care with Covid have not had a booster.
“Over 60 per cent of those have not had any vaccination. How absolutely crazy it is.”
The PM warned three jabs will soon be required for quarantine-free travel and it is likely “within weeks” boosters will be needed to be considered fully vaccinated.
Around 34million third shots have been given but three million have been forced to delay a booster after catching Covid.

England’s chief medical officer added: “It is simply people deliberately trying to scare away fellow citizens from something that is potentially going to be life-saving.”
