Tonight the National Lottery's Lotto draw is due to take place, with ticket holders in with a chance of taking home the ￡2million jackpot. The draw is due to take place at 8pm tonight, and tickets for today's draw are available until 7.30pm.

       Tickets for the Lotto draw cost ￡2, with players able to choose their own numbers or opt for a Lucky Dip.

       To win the jackpot, tickets need to match the six main numbers.

       Matching five main numbers plus the bonus ball will see you win ￡1 million while choosing five main numbers is worth ￡1,750.

       The Lotto is played by millions of people across the UK and takes place each Wednesday and Saturday.

       Tonight's Lotto results are in! The winning numbers are 10, 11, 18, 20, 37, 49 and the bonus ball is 5.

       Tonight's Thunderball results have now been drawn.

       The winning Thunderball numbers are 5, 8, 11, 23, 36 and the Thunderball is 8.

       The Thunderball takes place each Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and is worth ￡500,000 each time.

       To win, ticketholders must match the five main numbers plus the Thunderball.

       To check if your ticket is a winner, there are a couple of options.

       If you bought your ticket online you can either wait for an email or check via the National Lottery app.

       You can also scan in paper tickets via the app to check if you've won.

       If you're eager to get in on the action, you can watch the draws live as they happen via the National Lottery YouTube channel.

       The Lotto draw is held live on the channel at 8pm on Wednesdays and 7.45pm on Saturdays.

       Base jackpots on Lotto are ￡2 million on a Wednesday (up from ￡1.8 million previously) and ￡3.8 million on a Saturday (up from ￡3.1 million previously).

       The jackpot grows as it rolls, and we expect Must Be Won draws to be around ￡11 million on a Wednesday and ￡12 million on a Saturday.

       The jackpot is now only allowed to roll five times under the new format (compared with the previous rules where it rolled up to ￡22 million).

       On the fifth rollover, there will be Must Be Won draw, which will see the prize roll down to lower categories.

       The National Lottery explains: "This means the jackpot is shared by players matching 2 or more main numbers, so thousands can expect to win a boosted cash prize."
