But the comments made by group spokesman Tim Gough sparked a ferocious response from Sky News' Adam Boulton who erupted at how the group believes they can apologise for their actions but think they can still continue to carry out protests against the public regardless.

       Mr Boulton slammed; “If you think you need to apologise for it you shouldn’t have done it in the first place should you!

       Mr Gough hit back: “We are apologising to the ordinary people in this country for the disruption it has caused them.

       “We are not really apologising to the politicians because we think that they need to take concrete action just as we take concrete action on the streets

       Mr Boulton slammed back questioning whether the group were apologising because of the injunction placed on the group instead of any “lasting feelings of regret” following their protests which have caused carnage in Britain.

       The spokesman insisted the apology is “nothing to do with the courts at all” as he claimed Insulate Britain “genuinely” do not want to cause disruption.

       ‘We feel we have to take the action because no concrete action in relation to climate change and insulating the houses of Great Britain is being taken by the politicians.

       Despite the apology, Mr Gough vowed to continue to take disruptive action until politicians listen to the group.

       He claimed how the lives of ordinary people will be “improved” through a programme of insulation across Britain.

       But Mr Boulton questioned the line of reasoning from Mr Gough, slamming: “So you’re apologising for something but you’re going to carry on doing it! Is that right?"

       The Insulate Britain campaigner went on to praise his activists who he said were "willing to risk jail" in order to try to get across the importance of this issue to Westminster.

       But Mr Boulton was having none of it as he questioned what the group thought they were achieving with the actions and the latest apology and demanded to know what concrete action they wanted the government to take.

       Mr Gough slammed: "The concrete action is they commit to insulate the houses of Britain to a zero-carbon standard within the next 8-10 years... and then at a stroke, we deal with fuel poverty in this country!"

       The protester hit back saying the cause was "not so much" about bringing publicity to the issue but more about raising awareness of the crisis to politicians.

       He went on to say how these "inconveniences will continue" if the politicians fail to act.

       His comments come as Insulate Britain launched their eleventh day of protests on Monday blocking major access points into London at Arnos Grove, Blackwall Tunnel, Hangar Lane, and Wandsworth Bridge sparking traffic mayhem.

       But the protests triggered a ferocious response from drivers who got out of their vehicles and dragged protesters off the road in fury.
