BICYCLE courier company has banned riders from wearing helmets over health and safety fears.
E-cargo company Pedal Me said more risks were taken with a helmet.

It claimed most cycling head injuries were caused by going over the handle-bars — which it said was impossible on a 3?metre-long cargo bike.
The London-based firm said: “People taking risks that are sufficient that they feel they need to wear helmets are not welcome to work for us.”

Co-founder Ben Knowles said: “A member of staff was assaulted with a machete but that doesn’t mean we would equip all riders with stab vests.”
The Highway Code -recommends that cyclists wear helmets.
