Two guns were recovered Thursday morning at Evanston Township High School and the school was placed on lockdown, according to police.
According to a tweet from police just after 10:40 a.m., “there is currently not an active shooter in the school. No injuries or shots fired in this incident.”
A large police presence at the school was needed to “secure the school and locate individuals involved,” police said.
Police report that all individuals involved have been located and are being detained.
