A SIX-year-old boy in Punjab, India, who fell into a 100m well tragically died hours after being rescued, Malaysia Nanban reported.
The boy, identified as Rithik, was playing in a field near his house when a few dogs began chasing him. While trying to get away from the dogs, the boy fell into the well, which was covered up with gunny sacks.
The boy, who was trapped at about a 30m depth, was rescued by fire and rescue officials after a nine-hour effort during which he was given oxygen. However, his condition worsened soon after and he died despite treatment.
