The British Royal Family is one of few remaining in the world and one of the most expansive. Aside from those in the line of succession, the Queen has a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and more making up more than 50 living people related to her. But only a few of them take part in the annual shoot scheduled for Boxing Day.
On Boxing Day, royals indulge in several more of their time-honoured traditions.
The most famous is the Boxing Day shoot, which sees several royals join the Queen at her Sandringham estate.
They gather to hunt animals living in the surrounding area, including grouses, pheasants or larger game like stags.

Most of the time the event is reserved for senior members in the royal ranks, their spouses and children.

Covid's Omicron variant is still causing close to 100,000 cases per day and is running rampant in the UK, forcing the Queen to cut down on her close contacts.
The trio is at Windsor rather than Sandringham, where she would have travelled to in early December.
Buckingham Palace said the decision was personal and "reflects a precautionary approach".
Princess Anne and her husband Sir Timothy Lawrence could not attend, as Sir Timothy recently tested positive for Covid.
Prince William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, are in Norfolk at their Anmer Hall residence.
The Middleton family has joined them for the day, as they have before.
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, the Duchess of Cambridge, have stayed in the US with their two young children, Archie and Lilibet.
