The Queen has "clearly been listening" to Prince Charles on his lifelong passion, royal commentators have claimed. During a visit to the Edinburgh Climate Change Institute, the monarch made a comment that was picked up. ITV Royal Rota podcast hosts Chris Ship and Lizzie Robinson discussed the implications.
Ms Robinson told listeners: "She made a remark when she arrived at the engagement.
"As she stepped out of the hybrid Land Rover, she said, 'It's electric'."
Mr Ship added: "Clearly been listening to her son over lunch.
"And her grandson as well since Prince William has also taken on this environmental mantle."

The monarch went on to make even stronger comments about climate change during her visit.
She said: "It does mean we're going to have to change the way we do things really in the end".
Ms Robinson told the podcast: "We've obviously heard a lot from Prince Charles and Prince William on their passion for the environment.
"So to hear the Queen talking about it is a bit of a change."
She continued: "The Queen knows that her words are being picked up.
"She knows that people can hear her.
"She knows the impact that it has when she says things."

To this day, he continues to speak passionately about protecting nature.
The future king has even been involved in numerous campaigns and initiatives focused on the environment.
His father, Prince Philip, was also a big supporter of tackling climate issues.
Additionally, Charles' sons, Prince Harry and Prince William, are seeking to continue that legacy on their own work.
