The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been included in an exhibition on the Royal Family - something one expert believes is a "magnanimous" gesture. Harry and Meghan, who are living in California after quitting the monarchy, feature in the Tudors To Windsors: British Royal Portraits at the National Maritime Museum in London.
The exhibition was organised in partnership with the National Portrait Gallery, of which Kate is patron.
Richard Eden of Daily Mail's Eden Confidential said: "It’s magnanimous of her to raise no objections to the inclusion of Meghan, who used her interview with Oprah Winfrey to claim Kate made her cry."
The show, which is open now, includes royal portraits from Henry VII to Elizabeth II.
The Sussexes - who lashed out at the royals in their Oprah Winfrey interview earlier this year, are pictured on their wedding day.
Charlotte Bolland, a senior curator at the National Portrait Gallery, said: "The focus is on the Royal Family today, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very much part of that.
"It’s important to frame them as being very much part of the family, as the Queen has stressed."
Harry and Meghan quit royal duties last year for a new life of personal and financial freedom in America.
Following their controversial tell-all interview with Winfrey, Harry went on to hit out at his family during a podcast appearance and on his Apple TV documentary series.
He is expected to return to Britain for only the second time since Megxit for the Princess Diana statue unveiling on July 1.

9am update: Meghan and Harry attacked for 'new low' in Lilibet row
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been attacked by a royal commentator for their "genuinely astonishing" decision to buy an internet domain name on the day their daughter was born.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's spokesman confirmed the couple snapped up the domain name lilibetdiana.com the day their baby arrived and registered lildiana.com two days before her birth.
The move has raised further questions over whether Harry and Meghan asked the Queen about naming the tot after Her Majesty's childhood family nickname.
And royal commentator Dan Wootton said it was "genuinely astonishing" the Sussexes were buying websites on the day their little girl was born.
The GB News presenter branded it a "new low" for the pair, who quit royal duties last year for a new life in America.
Writing in his MailOnline column, Mr Wootton said: "It's genuinely astonishing to me that even when going through what should be one of the most beautiful, pure and nerve-wracking moments of their lives, the Sussex machine was thinking about bloody websites."

Prince William is "worried" his conversations with Prince Harry will be published by the press afterwards, a royal expert has claimed.
The Duke of Cambridge has grown weary of what he says to his younger brother and may have lost trust in him, according to a royal author.
Speaking on the Royal Beat, Phil Dampier said: “I don’t think William trusts Harry anymore and he is always worried that anything he says will end up in the press in two or three days’ time.
"That’s what he is worried about, and he needs to be cautious of what he can actually say to him.”
7.30am update: Kate will ‘support’ William at Diana memorial amid ‘tensions’ with Harry
The Duchess of Cambridge will be supporting Prince William during the long-awaited unveiling of Princess Diana's statue, a source has claimed.
Kate and William will see some tensions with Prince Harry during the event due to “deep rooted issues,” according to a royal source.
Speaking to the Daily Star, the insider said: “The Duchess has seen this project evolve from its conception and now to the finished article and undoubtedly wants to be there to support her husband.
"No doubt there will be tensions between the Cambridges and Harry, but they all recognise that despite the obvious and deep rooted issues between them, they want the day to be solely about the Princess of Wales’s enduring legacy.”
