From PAs to bartenders, many members of the Royal Family had unusually regular jobs - just like us. Here’s some insight into their worlds of work before marrying into “The Firm”.

       The Duchess of Cambridge, now a full-time working royal may be a busy mum of three, but before she married Prince William she had a relatively normal job.

       After graduating from St Andrews, where she first met her husband to be, Kate Middleton initially worked for her parent’s company, Party Pieces.

       She later became an accessories buyer for the clothing chain Jigsaw.

       Here she worked a flexible three-day-a-week schedule.

       After she finished her education at Mon Fertile finishing school in Switzerland, Camilla’s first job was as a secretary.

       She worked for several firms in London and later became a receptionist for the decorating firm Sibyl Colefax & John Fowler in Mayfair.

       Before joining the “Firm”, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, had an impressive acting career.

       She shot to fame for her role in the legal drama Suits, where she worked from 2011 until 2018.

       Before that, she had a few minor acting roles appearing in Without a Trace, 90210 and Horrible Bosses.

       She was even a suitcase model on Deal or No Deal.

       The Countess of Wessex had an impressive career in PR before she married Prince Edward.

       She worked for Capital Radio and then went on to work in different London firms.

       She then opened her own firm, RJH Public Relations in 1996, before she became a full-time royal after marrying her husband three years later.

       Before Sarah Ferguson became the Duchess of York, she had several very normal jobs.

       She revealed in interviews she cleaned loos and student bedrooms when she was 18 and later waitressed in a strudel house.

       She has also been employed as a chalet girl and worked in an art gallery and for two PR firms in London.
