MELAKA: The Melaka Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has met former Sungai Udang assemblyman Datuk Seri Idris Haron to obtain information on his allegations over the monopoly of economic projects and sand royalty payment in the state.
Its director Mohd Shahril Che Saad said the meeting was held on Thursday and lasted for about two hours.
“We have obtained preliminary information related to the allegations and received good cooperation (from Idris).
“The information has been sent to the MACC headquarters to be analysed and for further action,” he said yesterday.
Idris, who is a former Melaka chief minister, this week claimed that there were several Umno leaders in the state who had allegedly been monopolising economic projects and cheating the Federal Government of sand royalties.
