A MAN has been charged with raping an 11-year-old girl in a horror attack.

       The young girl was reportedly raped inside a property in Barnsley at around 11.30pm on September 10.

       Ziad Taibi, 41, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of rape and engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl under 13.

       He has now been charged with both offences.

       He has been remanded in police custody and will next appear before Sheffield Crown Court on 12 October.

       The victim is receiving support from specialist officers and enquiries are ongoing.
