Professor Tim Spector, head of the Zoe app (the world's largest study into coronavirus) has predicted that any significant rise in case rates will be down to children infecting unvaccinated people, stating that the 'honeymoon' of half term which had helped to suppress infections is over.
He said: "I think it's going to be a story of areas of the country that have these pockets of unvaccinated people that are going to suffer the most.
"And that could be within regions - around certain hospitals, particularly deprived parts of the country. I think that's where we are going to see some of these problems."
