KUCHING: The Sarawak government has yet to meet Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli over its concerns on the Central Database Hub (Padu).

       "So far, no. We are still waiting (for the meeting)," Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg told reporters at his Hari Raya open house at the Borneo Convention Centre on Thursday (April 11).

       He was asked whether the meeting between Rafizi and the state government had taken place.

       On March 26, Rafizi said the Economy Ministry would meet with the Sarawak government soon to discuss its security and privacy concerns over Padu.

       Sarawak had expressed reservations over the amount of information required by Padu, with Abang Johari saying that information unrelated to financial positions should not be required.

       The state also sought clarification on Padu's data security in view of the rampant occurrence of data breaches, leaks and scams.
