David Lammy's speech was thrown into chaos (Image: Sky News)
A speech by Labour's Shadow Foreign Secretary David Lammy has erupted into chaos this afternoon after a pro-Palestine protestor jumped onto the stage at a Labour Party event in London.
The MP for Tottenham was heckled by two people while speaking at Guildhall Yard at the FEPS-Fabian Society's New Year Conference 2024: Plans for Power event.
The event, which organisers describe as one of the "biggest events in the political calendar", was meant to serve as a platform for Mr Lammy to detail Labour's foreign policy in the event the party won the next general election.

Security officials led one of the protesters out of the building, after which another attendee took their turn to stand up and heckle the MP.
They were heard shouting a question at Mr Lammy, asking him how he could "call himself a socialist", to which he replied: "I was born in Tottenham, don't worry... we all want to see a sustainable ceasefire in Gaza."
