A cold front passed the area today. You might not have noticed if you weren’t watching observations. Winds became gustier from the northwest this afternoon, and dew points have fallen from around 30 this morning to the teens this afternoon. This drier air should allow for temperatures to fall off highs near 50 relatively quickly this evening. It’ll end up on the cold side tonight.

Rain should become more likely with time during the second half of Sunday. The heaviest may focus at night, but small shifts can have significant timing impacts locally at this range.
The Weather Prediction Center is forecasting the heaviest precipitation nearer the shore with about 0.5 to 1.5 inches locally. Wednesday’s models also showed the potential for several inches locally.
